304 Stainless steel coil is the more common and general type of stainless steel.
304 Stainless steel coil is defined by its higher nickel content than other types of stainless steel coil.
Due to the rising cost of nickel, this makes 304 stainless steel coil slightly more expensive than the other types.
The nickel, however, is what makes type 304 stainless steel coil less susceptible to corrosion.
♦ The cold rolled stainless steel coils have a better quality surface finish, precise tolerances, and straightness than hot rolled stainless steel coils.
♦ The cold rolled stainless steel coils are more expensive because of the extra processing of cold workings. Cold working induces hardness, resistance against shock, and deformation.
♦ The cold rolled stainless steel coils are stronger and harder than hot rolled stainless steel coils.
